Nemophila Baby Blue Eyes is a charming annual that has dainty, sky-blue flowers with white centres, like a reflection of a clear summer’s day–and now you can grow your own, with Mr Fothergill’s Seeds. Compact and low-growing, it has a spreading habit, only reaching a height of approximately 15cm. Use it to add a soft, trailing effect to hanging baskets or to fill gaps in rockeries with a carpet of colour.

How to Grow
Sow Nemophila Baby Blue Eyes seeds thinly, about 5mm (0.25in) deep, in their flowering position. Keep the soil moist as they germinate. Once the seedlings have grown, thin them out to 10cm (4in) apart to allow space for healthy growth. To extend the flowering season, make 2 or 3 sowings at intervals. After flowering, remove deadheads regularly to encourage the plant to grow more flowers. Feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser every few weeks to support growth. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering to prevent root rot.
