How To Grow

Depth: 5mm
Position: Full Sun
Germination: 10-14days
Spacing: 10cm apart

How to grow: Remove clear lid, card insert and the seed sachet. Pour 275ml of warm water over the Jiffy® Quick Soil Mix pellets. When pellets have fully expanded, mix the soil and firm down gently. Sow the seeds at 5mm deep, covering lightly, and place clear lid on top. Leave to grow in a light and airy position, and ensure soil remains moist. Add water when soil starts to turn light brown, but do not over water. Apply a liquid feed every 2 weeks. Remove the lid when seedlings appear, usually in 10-14 days. When large enough to handle, thin out to 2 strongest seedlings and plant the remaining in other pots or the garden. Pinch out any side shoots as they appear.

Mr Fothergill's Tips:
- For fruit to develop, the plant needs consistent moisture and regular feeding.
- If you are unsure about the correct moisture level, press the soil gently. If the soil feels moist but no water appears, the level is correct. If water appears on the surface, gently tip the pot to its side, and let any excess run out.
